5th gen front engine mount replacement options
I had/have a split front engine mount. After seeing how much Honda wanted for a new one I picked up Energy Suspensions polyurethane mount insert kit for around 30-40€. I fitted the front one but left the back as apparently it causes vibration in the cabin and the front mount seems to take most of the grunt anyway.
It didn't feel as if the engine pitched as much but that's the butt dyno talking, I had no loss of comfort.

The back one does cause vibration, yes, just fitting the front one doesn't - although I expect over time it does cause extra stress on the rear one if not also polybushed..?

No idea, when I removed my rear one recently it was in good shape. God knows how long it had been shouldering the weight because of the front one being split.wurlycorner wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 3:06 pmThe back one does cause vibration, yes, just fitting the front one doesn't - although I expect over time it does cause extra stress on the rear one if not also polybushed..?
