My 1999 2.2 VTI
After owning the Prelude for about 6 weeks now, I thought it was time to create a thread and add a few pictures
I purchased the car for £2k, from a trader, about 6 weeks ago, it had covered 108k miles and had 1 previous owner and a full history
Since then, I had changed the cambelt, water pump and tensioners, oil and filter change, automatic fluid change, 1 new bridgestone tyre (due to a puncture) new spark plugs, new 8mm ignition leads, pipercross panel filter and a front strut brace and removed the rear left and right hand side badges
Very happy with the car so far, mpg isnt cracking at around 33-34, was hoping for a bit better
I have a week off work this week, so thought I would give it a good clean, went back to a blast from the past product range, Zymol, I am pleased with the results

Looks in great condition! Nice purchase.
That's about as good fuel economy as you will get from an H22, tbh. Have to remember that it is 25 year old fuel injection technology after all, plus it was a car that was tuned/designed with a balance more towards performance than economy really (although it's a really great GT car).

Worth getting inside them with some decent rust penetrant (Dinitrol 3125 etc) asap on a warm, dry day, to keep them that way.
