Hi buddy and welcome
I just missed out on this, you beat me to it. Congratulations
lol
There is mileage discrepancies obviously and needs a full respray but a good project nevertheless.
BB4 is the import lightweight version with no abs or sunroof and a coin slot in the dash. Check for a silver sticker in the door shut saying SI VTEC LSD.
What paperwork did you get with it in the end.
Also get pictures up so others can see it.
I will so look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Hagland it was you lol.You are correct,it does need a respray and a bit of love. But underneath all the archs and sills seem solid.Engine is healthy.Took a gamble because as you say,its not correct miles.....i checked the door shut and yes it says SI VTEC LSD.has the h22a checked. The wheels are heading to the skip.will be deciding what size.either 16x8 or 17x8.unsure yet.meisters maybe.really like these.had them on a civic and also crx....cheers toadster,i will need that luck

Where are you located. Would be nice to see it around.
I have some parts so if there is anything you need I can see if I have it. Vanzep usually has loads too.
I have 2 ludes at the moment but I have been wanting another black one for ages. You can check my profile if you like is the profile section.
Get some pics up on here and maybe start your own profile.
I also have a set of wheels in gunmetal grey which was refurbished now long ago too.

Welcome - nice work getting a BB4 (all BB4 chassis are imports) its a very rare car these days and the simplest one to look after and fix up. The import BB1 and UK BB1 have a lot more electronics and 4 wheel steer to look after so more to go wrong and difficult to get parts for.
I miss my BB4

cheers for the welcome and info. Its a new world lol.Well after just over a month of owning the car.I started with a good clean and machine polished the areas with actual laquer on.So half the car really.Granada black,o wow its pretty.Been driving it around to see what it needs.Down pipe and full exhaust system is needed.changed the slave cylinder because the old one jobby itself. Then 2 days later.pull in 2nd and into 3rd then,a horible scraping sound and gearbox oil pissing out.Apart from that im enjoying it

that sounds like a driveshaft has starting popping out, could have been fitted badly or has an oil seal that needs replacing where the shaft goes in - quite easy to do at home yourself.

Hello and welcome.
Very unusual to have issues with driveshafts and gearbox oil leaks etc.
Only usual issues with the LSD gearboxes (as found in BB4's) can be 5th gear crunch.
Would be great to see the car on the forum or IRL.
Where about are you located?

its the m2b4 lsd box.everything still felt nice limping it home.goes into gear nicely etc.just makes a scraping sound and gearbox oil dripping.when i changed gear there was a horrible metalic ping sound.then about 3 seconds later the noise.thought it was something hanging on the driveshaft or something.the selector fork is squeking like mad even afyer i changed the slave cylinder...i will have a look if driveshaft popped out.seems odd thou.i wasnt thrashing it.just a second gear pull.admittidly rev bounced.but wasnt a dmo dj kinda gear change....i was on my way to get some itr 96specs aswell
