Oil fouled spark plugs-fixed
I have an issue with oil fouled spark plugs on the H22a on my BB1.
Im going to check it over tomorrow - thinking the approach would be:
remove valve cover
clean oil out of combustion chamber
replace spark plug o rings
replace spark plugs
replace pcv valve
test drive
is there anything else i should check?

Yes Drax was on the motorway and something let go and the car stalled out - i got it onto the hard shoulder and let it cool down - it did restart and i crawled along the hard shoulder and got off the motorway. It was misfiring badly and blue smoke out the back and in the engine bay. My pal following along behind said there were chunks of stuff and sparks coming out of the exhaust
Went out today and checked it over - nothing to see when i removed the valve cover - t belt was ok and timing looked ok.
So I removed the fouled plugs and cleaned up the oil in the combustion chambers as best i could put new plugs in and new pcv valve.
Started it up but sounds nasty from the bottom end and it stalled out. The only other thing i can think off is the cat or centre silencer has collapsed causing a blockage but i think it is wishful thinking tbh. I think it has had a failure in the engine. I will need to recover the car and look at fitting a new H22a engine.
Here are some pics and short video (dont know how to download this from my camera) of when i tried to restart it today:

Oh, jobby mate that's a bummer.
Collapsed cat/silencer baffles could potentially be the cause, yep... Definitely worth investigating.

i'd be dubious to say its an engine failure with these being so reliable and you maintaining it so well

thanks for the replies - have to say the car was running very well before this happened.
I will try new dizzy/cap/rotor etc
also
will pull off the exhaust and see if there is anything there
