i spotted this a while back. shows the max potential of 10.6.1 pistons which is nice, if they had 11.1 from one of the usual sources, this would be another 10-15bhp extra most likely.

It looks nice, although the rear bumper needs a paint and is that some big dents in the bonnet? I wonder how that half rad deals with the heat.

Badly I suspect. I ran a half rad for a while, whilst I do have a turbo, it wasn't enough on light daily driving on a hot day.

This was my thinking. In my BB4 I have a stock engine and an OEM style rad, and it doesn't deal with the heat well, so much so that on hot days the heat built up and transmitted to my gearbox and made my clutch slip.

Interesting why someone would put an h22 in a DC2 tbh - heavier engine, not big power gain.
There are various small things straight off the bat that make me very wary of the quality of the conversion though.
The rad as already highlighted (that's a disaster imo), the expansion tank wedged in rubbing on the rad, the intake filter mashed up and breathing in boiling hot air right behind the rad, the earth cable connected to completely inappropriate location, am I imagining it or has the fuel filter been bent round and just floating with bracket unattached wedged between the firewall and inlet manifold...

i suspect the value of a b18 from a dc2 is the same as a decent whole lude so likely much much cheaper to put in a h22 and re-sell, win win reallywurlycorner wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 12:56 pmInteresting why someone would put an h22 in a DC2 tbh - heavier engine, not big power gain.

Rich used to have an H22 ITR that he competed with in the VTEC Challenge

I'm presuming the extra torque of the H22 is what they are after. The B18C is something like 126 ft/lbs, whereas a stock H22 is more like 155 ft/lbs.
