Rear lower control arm bushing

Post by jdeale84 » Sat Jun 15, 2024 2:25 pm

So I've just had a pre mot test.

Main things are rust and ball joints that I'm not too worried about.

But one of them was a N/S rear lower control arm bushing that needs replacing, I assume the main one at the back although he didn't specify.
I know there are three bushings on that control arm.

I'm struggling to find bushings for this, or even a control arm that doesn't cost a fortune.

Amayama have a lower control arm which comes to £180 with shipping

But for that price, hardrace have a complete hardened rubber bushing set (6 pieces) for both rear lower control arms for £177

Does anyone know of a better option?

If you look at the kits here:

https://strongflexuk.com/product-catego ... -96-01-bb/

You can get a exploded diagram of the bushes and placements and the part numbers, and then you can buy the bushes individually.

I would go for the red ones where possible, the yellow are too hard for my liking.

Rock Auto also supply individual oem style rubber bushes for 5th gens, from companies like KYB and Moog.
