I know of a fix, but I think you should give it a chance first. I find it quite handy.
It only gets annoying when you're working on the car.

And how is the stereo locked in place in the JDM cars? I see no way of removing the cage to bolt stereo to

if you take out the centre console the cage stays in place you fit the stereo and refit the console or you just fiddle around behind the whole lot through the footwell

Regarding your climate control light, they are meant to dim when you turn your headlights on.

I've found this out from owning two JDM cars plus looking at other JDM cars. I think they dim because at night when you turn you headlights on you don't want the limits control light to shine inside the car. (something like that) :mrgreen:

The steering wheel in my UKDM is much nicer than in my JDM one (leather bound versus crappy plastic). Something I plan to change. The interior trim in the UKDM is much more plush than the one in the JDM too, but the missus likes the current interior in that, so unless we manage to pick up the red/black interior somewhere, it'll be staying...
