JDM P13 ECU spoon tuned?

Post by ziyaan » Tue Nov 13, 2012 11:26 am

this is what looks to be a spoon sports tuned P13 ECU
it was in my auto BB4 Prelude and for an auto the car went like the clappers

I dont have any data sheet for it, but with all the extras that my car came with, i dont doubt it.

there are 2 spoon sports stickers over the shell and i dont want to remove them

note: this does not include the vtec controller

I don't know

If you want

I'm finishing off making my obd1 - obd2 harness and will plug it in my mates 5th

If he has no issues I'll post it up as manual working

Is there a difference in the engine ECU then between 2ws and 4ws and between auto and manual?

I'd always assumed no difference in 2/4ws and didn't expect there to be any difference for auto's either (kickdown is a gearbox switch etc with no effect on engine tune)

the autobox ecu gets signals from the engine ecu as to engine speed and such and i am sure its the same with the 4ws ecu as well as it needs speed signals to tell which way to turn the rear wheels

Interesting thought about engine speed for the gearbox.
Thought the 4ws unit got its speed signals from the ABS ECU?

I'm pretty sure the 2 and 4ws ECU's are interchangeable?

The auto ECU is specific, but can be converted for manual use in minutes once opened up.
