I imagine exceptions were made in a situation where a worldwide notable motoring program produced by a worldwide notable broadcaster is making an episode featuring a worldwide notable track.

I think it's slightly different to your regular car enthusiast wanting to record himself hooning about.

EDIT: What Ratty said

you can book sabine to take you round the track. you need to book WELL in advance though

otherwise there is a pool of pro drivers you can pay to go passenger with on an 8 minute run. its something like 500euro. nick was telling me. you have to book it for special closed times.

kinda worth it  There is no way you could see that for real any other way..

So the trailer of the meet (posted on the first page) had a video of a person going around the ring. Was that taken illegally? Lol

Not sure if you're joking or if imagination is a stretch for you or something Nitin

@LLL, not sure if I would pay 500 euro but that must be a pretty good ride along

Yes Nitin, most of the video materials we have from NR were recorded a bit "on the edge of the regulations" ^^

I think Sabine may have retired from the Ring now. The BMW Ring Taxis are cheaper, anyway, and you pay by the car load:

It might be worth pointing out that the model used in Gran Turismo is pretty accurate. We used our memory of it the first time we went round and found the braking points to be quite close to what was really needed. Of course, it doesn't help with the feel of the gradients, the grip or when your car goes light on a crest!
