Yeah 12 Nm or 8.7 lb/ft according to the manual. I have an old school torque wrench ;)
You mean a wrench then.

Actually its a torque beam (I had to google it). It's decent for anything small.

Yeah, I have one like that, that's bloody ancient still much used though 8-)
Also, just picked this up, mainly for the bikes, but its a great bit of kit:

Admittedly I did have some vouchers to use up, but not too bad a price anyway.

Yeah I need to get something like that, although a mate has one I can borrow. You need something beefy like that for flywheel bolts etc... where it has to be done tight and at the correct torque.

Yeah, that one is a small set, for low settings on carbon bike bits etc :)

I was taught that torque beam wrenches are actually more accurate than the 'click' type torque wrenches. Personally I couldn't get on with the damn things and prefer the 'click' type though...

At work it's a bit immaterial/that bit is managed anyway because the spec is always to set them up against a calibrated torque meter each time, rather than go off the scales on the tool.

I've tried mine out a couple of times against those and despite being about 15 years old and not calibrated in that time, it was pretty good. Not very repeatable on low range but pretty accurate and repeatable further up.

All fine for DIY mechanic, anyway!

Honda commonly used them when our cars were first produced. You can see them in diagrams in the manual.

Tightening pressure plate bolts.

Like I say I use a borrowed beefier click type for the bigger more important bolts.
