Where to buy bodyshop stuff

Post by wurlycorner » Sun Oct 18, 2015 10:41 pm

That, really.

I know a brilliant shop in Clacton, but I haven't had time to get down there. Is there anywhere good on-line for body shop type bits?

I'm after a few things (most of which I can't remember at this hour) but one of which is the double-sticky-sided thin butyl rubber type stuff for attaching panels. (And nope, I don't want to use double-sided sticky thin foam instead...)

Thanks to anyone that can help :)

I think theres an online store called frosts or something like that. My dad gets a catalogue through from time to time.

There's a good shop in Colchester (Gramic Supplies, on Magdalen Street) if you don't want to go as far as Clacton ;)

I use Nwsr.co.uk

For double sided tape use 3m acrylic automotive tape. That's what I use and oem companies use.

Thanks for the above guys.

I found that 3m had their own online shop - obviously however, it's too much to expect 3m to know anything about their own products  http://www.3mdirect.co.uk/3m-5313-butyl ... x-10m.html (look at the Technical details tab :tosser: ) All I want to know is dimensions (how thick) but apparently that's too much for them!

Incidentally, if you try 3m's proper site, you can't even find that product!  :tosser:

Honestly any place that sells glazing supplies will have that double sided tape (will be called security fitting tape or something similar).
