Is it grey unpainted plastic?? I'd say replace as I'm not sure how you'd repair it without it showing (although I don't have ratty skills when it comes to these things :) ).

Maybe repair it but then colour code it to hide the repair 8-)

Depends how much for a replacement, anything is fixable, but not always cost effectively.

Its black textured plastic. Replacement bumpers are £250 unpainted from Nissan. Its a Nissan Qashqai. Ebay they are around £60+ delivery but all are scratched and would need repairing anyway so thats my time to repair.
Paying for my time is almost set priced and remember i would need to fit the new bumper again costing my time.

I gave the customer all these options.

If it's unpainted textured plastic I'd definitely just replace the damn thing, only way to have it looking right.

Yes! Get a comedy plaster one

Or what about the Mondeo driver body repair of choice, black duct tape 8-) I don't think I've seen one of the old school bubble shaped ones without tape on it for several years now

The strength of the bumpers on those is truly apauling.

I remember coming up behind the hatchbacks on the motorway admiring the bottom lip of the rear bumpers wildly vibrating/flapping around towards the middle.

And that was when they were new!

You all underestimate what i can do.

2 1/2 hours later and £144 inc VAT. JOB DONE.

So welded on the front and back. Carbon fibre fibreglass at the back for strength and sanded the high spots back with 180 on a da.
Image

I used some SEM no swell filler followed by some Upol Easy 1 bodyfiller for shape and then Doplih glaze to finish followed by some high build primer as pictured.
Image

Then sanded back, adhesion aid spray on the black surrounding area followed by some SEM finex black texture paint as its the best match.
