I did the valve clearances last night, and my god, what a ball ache job it is. I think the problem I had was with my particular feeler gauges making the task a lot more difficult.
A couple weeks ago, I purchased a new Draper Long Blade Feeler Gauge (52339) and their problem is that they're too long. I'm sure they would be lovely on some other engines, but not H22. So, if anyone is ready this and is wanting to buy a new feeler gauge for their valve clearances, DO NOT buy the ones I used. You need something shorter, half their length would be lovely.

Not really far out, but we're talking only fractions of a millimetre anyway! Some were too loose, some were too tight, but nothing major I'd say. When I started it up last night after putting it all back together, it did seem quieter than usual. Before, there was a slight ticking, which I thought was from an injector(s), but that's gone now.wurlycorner wrote:Were they far out? Any noticeable differences since doing them? (noise etc.)
