Post by Space1999 » Thu Aug 15, 2013 11:29 am

Hi guys - can anyone tell me what the handbook advises on these? I've just discovered I don't have one!

I run mine at 36psi atm and am going to be running them higher in the future to aid in better fuel economy & lower rolling resistance.. Obviously the downside to this is reduced cornering and braking performance, also exagerated tyre wear if your running a lot of camber etc..

+ driving everywhere at 45mph, coating the car in an aero-skin, coasting where possible, turning car off at red traffic lights, windows up, air-con off..

You drive a car with a supercharged engine and your worried about fuel economy AND are happy with reduced grip & handling? That is either craziness or epic trolling

Saaaay what?!
I did this conversion for fuel economy, the supercharger just happened to be attached to the engine when I bought it.... The proof's in the pudding, my tank averages have gone from 22 to 27mpg, thats a 22% increase

Fair enough but I still don't understand the logic in doing the swap for the purpose of fuel economy. Pursuit of power or just to be different I get.

I thought the H22 was too old to have any form of fuel saving but I did learn that the ECU cuts current to the injectors to improve MPG when the throttle body plate is closed and revs are higher than 1,400 rpm (1,050 rpm in the 5th gen).
