And more to the point, finally managed to kill the merc :lol: what was the final nail in the coffin?

diesel pump corroded between the the body and sealing plates, got a seal kit on its way but its a pain to do as if you hold the pistons in your hand and it warms up it wont fit back in because of thermal expansion! the tolerances are that tight! :?

anyway, ratty got his black heavy boxy thing, for all i know i was transporting an A-bomb around the country :lol:

well its common rail so has an LP diesel pump feeding the HP one (that leaks) that feeds a rail to the injectors at a constant pressure which is then controlled electronically and is direct injection!

(this is what i guess)
