I got a call from a member on here today and i think hes collecting it for me.
I offered him a tickle for his trouble.
Lets see how much sunflower oil his Merc can take for the trip.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

diesel pump corroded between the the body and sealing plates, got a seal kit on its way but its a pain to do as if you hold the pistons in your hand and it warms up it wont fit back in because of thermal expansion! the tolerances are that tight!wurlycorner wrote:And more to the point, finally managed to kill the mercwhat was the final nail in the coffin?

well its common rail so has an LP diesel pump feeding the HP one (that leaks) that feeds a rail to the injectors at a constant pressure which is then controlled electronically and is direct injection!wurlycorner wrote:mechanical fuel injection? Well that's a surprise, I'd assumed it would be direct injection on those things
Where did the beetle appear from anyway?
(this is what i guess)
