What is it you want to remove? Just the bulbs? The headlight unit? The Sidelight unit?

If I remember correctly (I last did it in ~2006), there's a single screw on the top (that's accessible through a hole in the slam panel) which holds the sidelight unit in place. Remove this screw, and pull the sidelight unit towards the front of the car.

It's the sidelight I want to pop out so I can change the bulb, and clean it as it's got dirt on the inside somehow

Ok found the screw and removed it but I can't get it out thinking maybe someone siliconed it in?

You'll need to give it a good tug - I think it also "clips" into the wing, so you need to pop this out too. A wide flat-blade screwdriver, wrapped in insulating tape, gently prising between the back edge of the sidelight and the wing may help here to pop it out.

Or try reaching up to the back of it from through the front bumper?
