Re: Confused's Long-Term Anglia Project
It still needs a little more welding before it's in an MOT-able state.
It'll then go on the road and be driven for a few months to give it a shake down, and if anything needs tweaking, that's when it'll be tweaked, and then it'll come back off the road again, be stripped down and sent off for paint. So, final paint won't be until at least next year.

I have never been a fan of Anglias, I don't think they're the prettiest cat Ford have ever made.
But at the same time, this is without doubt the project I most want to see finished and in the flesh.
The quality of work and the commitment to carrying out a conversion that has likely not been done before is astounding.
Keep up the good work

Re: Confused's Long-Term Anglia Project
lol unfortunate typo, @lxstuart
I think the Anglia is like many cars - you will either love the design, hate the design, or just be indifferent about it.
I personally love the shape, and it's a very iconic shape - most people seem to recognise one (be it from their youth, pictures of their parents, or for the younger generation, from Harry Potter!)
I love the details you don't get on modern cars like the shape of the wheel arches (which is why I don't like any Anglias with bubble arches, which is why I didn't go the easy option of throwing on a rear suspension setup from another vehicle, and instead made my own)
I'm really aiming for mid-July for it to be on the road, there's an Anglia meet I'd like to take it to at Ace Cafe, and I'd like to bring it to the national meet at James'
So, that's the current goal, we'll see what happens - I might book a week off work in early July to finish it off (if I can persuade my dad to get a week off too)
