You are not wrong. Class E was the most competitive class. In E the 3 podium places scored the least amount of points of all the classes, showing how competitive the class was.

Out of the 63 cars that competed in SLS this year I finished 11th overall in the King of the Hill competition.

Got a chance to clean the car and get all the mud off it from the last round of SLS. I have a track day at the end of the month so just sorting some bits out for it too.

Also a pic of the new side mount we had to make. The width of the seat rails is much wider on the drivers seat than it is for the passenger. While my passenger seat fit on its brackets/mounts and sliders on the drivers seat has always been funny. The seat is not wide enough to fill the space between the brackets so I used some spacers, however one of the scrutineers did not like this, and even though I had ran the car like that for almost two years I had to change it. The inner side bracket is still the Cobra bracket but me and Steve made this one out of 5mm asymmetric angled alloy:

What a car it is! Looks great.
Nice work on the seat bracket! That looks very good!
No extra adjustment holes?

And you know you want to polish it 8-)
At least I do

No adjustment holes as there is no room for adjustment ;) The seat is positioned as low as it will go. No polishing either

I should have a few rear wing configs to try out so it will be interesting. Plus a new SJ4000 camera so will be experimenting with 2nd camera placement too.

Last nights playtime was making a rough template for the gurney flap V1. Just as a concept to see what it will look like and any issue that might occur with fabricating it. The top edge is a bit wobbly as I was free hand cutting it with a knife :D

The flap is 3cm (18% of core length) so the down force it creates should be decent. A flap just 1.25% of core length is supposed to increase the down force of the spoiler by 20-30%. But since the spoiler itself does not generate much down force or drag by itself I thought a larger flap was needed.

I have made a section that folds under itself to attach on to there the brake light screws in, the rest of it will be riveted to the spoiler.

Is this replace the big wing then? Do you think this will be better than the big wing? More downforce but less drag???

Ahem. It's the big GAY wing if you don't mind.
