Thanks for kind comment :)

Ive been using the BB1to ferry my mum about for the last week. She fell and shattered her elbow and ive had to take her to and from hospital a number of times. I was understandably nervous about using the lude as i didnt think it would be suitable but ive got to say it really worked out well. Even getting her in and out of the passenger seat was easy.
At 56mph on the motorway it feels like a luxury limo, very smooth and quite with plenty enough power :)

Spoon Brace

Post by vanzep » Wed Jun 28, 2017 7:02 pm

Picked up a rare spoon brace a couple of week ago :)
decided to fit it to the BB1 - wasnt that easy as there is load of gubbins around the passenger side shock tower that had to be loosened off to make room. once the brace was fitted it all went back into place (just) 8-)

I also carried out one of my regular oil changes. As the Shell Helix Ultra Pro 5w-30 had gone up in price i decided to go with this new oil (c3) - not bad at £18.45 for 5 litres :)

And Ive also got a refurbed rocker cover to fit later this week.
The engine bay is starting to look a bit cleaner as well.

That's a fair solid looking brace ye got there. Looking good Nick just had a wee catch up of this build.

Yeah OEM is great and Im sticking to my goal of keeping the BB1 oem but the spoon brace is a nice optional extra to have :)

There are a few other oem parts to go on:

They seem to be quite difficult to get a hold of these day but i do like the fact they are made specifically for the lude and are basically "fit and forget"
Ive had a full set of them on my BB4 for the last 5 or 6 years and really rate them :)

Have to say I reallly like the OEM wheels you have, love the Motegi's, but, those OEMs possibly suit your damn fine 4G that little bit more, not a design you see very often, more unique.

Blue rocker cover looks superb.

Amazing work on the car and such a fine looking 4G, really impressed+++
(really like the spoilerless look as well, smooth outline)

Reading this thread makes me pine after my old 4G Phantom Grey
