thought i would fire up the lude make sure it starts so i can get it ready for an mot over the long weekend , but as it always seems with this car it wonts to fight me i now have on the following warning lights , the s light for the auto gearbox is flashing plus i have the 4ws , abs and the battery light on with the engine running , o just to make things more interesting it wont move as the brakes are jammed on even though it was parked with the handbrake off
or could this be a gearbox fault causing it not to move one thing for sure if it needs much more money spending on it thats it its getting broken

so i have been working on the lude most of the day , borrowed the alternator off my other lude and fitted that and if by magic turned the key fired her up and all the warning lights went out
, still didnt wont to move but its a seized brake not a gearbox fault managed to get it into the workshop , jacked it up and sure enough drivers side rear all free passengers side rear seized solid and i mean solid i had to beat the caliper off the disc wreaking the pads mind you the disc and pads had seen better days so more dam new bits needed, lucky i have a good used caliper by now its to late my local parts supplier is shut so hopefully i can sort new discs and pads in morning thanks to euro car parts being open , so i set to to strip the drivers side ready for new bits but can you believe the drivers side has a new caliper disc and pads no wonder its not seized , but who the f**k fits new brake parts to one side only

its getting close to mot ready now ,to be honest i have found plenty of red neck maintenace on it , think i just wont to experience the 4ws and to be honest the 2.3 seems to be lively enough from the little i have driven it
