Got the dashcams installed yesterday, as well as rear speakers

Got the speaker / GPS sat on dash with other gadget antennas :

Connected dashcams to head unit, so I can view cameras / playback recorded videos


The sunroof wind deflector arrived too, so fitted it


I also sprayed the speaker covers with matt black paint, as they were very faded from the sun. Speakers are fitted and working underneath as well (you can see the rear facing dashcam as well. Front one is behind the rear view mirror. Both are very unobtrusive, which is why I use these cameras in all my cars.

I'll be putting the buddy club wheels back on, as there's a bit of a juddering when driving and breaking on these wheels. I suspected they had issues (was way worse on track Prelude) but wanted to run them on another car to see if same thing happened. I'll then get these wheels sorted at some stage and put them back on.

Only issue with the buddy club wheels and tyres combo is that the speedo seems to be out between 5 and 10mph, depending on speed. To be expected with non standard wheel and tyre sizes, and at least it reads me as going faster than I actually am, so I won't get unexpected fines

Excellent news that the car has gone to a good home and as others have said... You certainly aren't wasting any time!

Curious what reg no is now on the car???
Is it the one it had last time, before Gayno's personal plate was put on it? Or another random one???

Sorry dont know anything about the spoiler other than what Gayno wrote about it on his For Sale page.

Can't remember the manufacturer - but they're not made any more so you'll have to wait for one to come up for sale second hand I'm afraid. I found this one on a Facebook group luckily within about 5 mins of the guy posting it!

One big downside though is due to the "flick" of the spoiler, it creates a vortex which if driving in the rain pushes rainwater UP the rear window!

Having gotten frustrated with the Android based head unit for getting us lost on the way to the beach meet the other day, I've gone and got a basic Pioneer double DIN head unit that supports Android Auto. Took out the old one, and popped in the new one. It also has a much better quality (and smaller !!) microphone



USB cable with memory stick for MP3s, and I've also properly mounted the DVR for the dashcams in it's proper mounting bracket. Once I finish the install with the reversing camera, I'll tidy of the cables, so the carpeting sits properly


The battery terminals were both on their way out, so I popped on some quick release terminals instead


Mental note to paint that battery bracket...

I've also put the Buddy Club wheels back on and she drives much smoother, with no vibration in the steering wheel.

I'm glad my old car seems to have gone to a loving home, and is getting cared for already! I was very worried when Gayno put it up for sale that it would end up going to someone who will just abuse it or strip it for parts!

Nice to see its original number plate on it again, too!

I was the one who cut down the gear lever, sorry - it made it feel so much nicer when I fitted the short-shift adapter! It really became a flick-able gear lever then, especially with the Momo knob that was on it (which was a bit taller than other knobs, hence cutting the shaft down like I did!)

I'll be monitoring this thread closely - this was one of the best cars I've ever owned, and still miss it.
