Update? @si import is the car ready and going to pull a premium at race wars??? 😂

Not done a great deal yet just pulled the tint off my rear screen as it had gone different colours .
I've got my rear caliper rebuild kits just got to pull them off and do them.
Remade section of my exhaust as it was hanging too low . Fitted my new afr sensor as old one packed up . Re heat wrapped downpipe .
This afternoon been measuring up and making template for rear cage .

Random comment but I really enjoyed rebuilding my calipers, there are over 40 parts to one rear caliper if you count all the bolts too, i stripped and painted mine, then on a nice clean table while watching a relaxing bit of telly i carefully put them back together, it was so so satisfying...

Btw the cam can be a bit of a faff and there are torque ratings for some of the bolts in the manual, which i missed and it resulted in a slight leak on the main rear seal (between the big nut and the caliper itself) nipped it up slightly and its fine now.

Sounds like you have some fun work ahead :)

I've rebuilt a set before but only done the main seals. This time I have the full rebuilt kit with the pistons as well . Never new there was so many parts to the caliper .

nice work
keep a note of the dimensions and set up if you can - might come in handy ;)

only problem with front section of a cage is it does encroach into headspace above the doors on both sides - i never liked it being that close to my bonce - dont know if there is any way to avoid this tho :?

I will do . I have a wooden template so will keep it safe in my unit .
Yeah I thought it looked a bit tight . There's not a lot of room between the roof and your head when you have a helmet on anyway . But a full cage does look good :D

GOALS!

knowning full well I’m too tight to pay for some else to make the cage for me this is sweet @si import

Guessing you’ve got a mate with a pipe bender?

And what you going to do on the front legs? Seen a couple of cages before that touch the back of the dash and come straight down, other design look that simulear to a dash dodger

Keep up the good work
