I think it's a canny move for maintaining an international audience, which is important commercially in order to keep the budget up. Don't know Harris, but was looking forward to Coulthard and Sabine.
Either way, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, so we'll just have to wait and see. Pointless/irrelevant determining whether it will be any good/bad without seeing it.

I'm sure as jobby not buying Amazon prime just to watch one show though. It doesn't offer me anything else that I want and don't get elsewhere, for less/free.

The pay TV bundle market these days is ridiculous. People end up spending a (combined) absolute fortune because of just one thing that they couldn't previously get on another platform. drokk that, it's a game I'm just not getting into.

I reckon the new Amazon show will have reasonable viewing success (I.e. not watched by anything like as many as TG was watched by) and make decent money (cause it's pay TV only) for a couple of years, but I doubt it will carry on forever. Unless they do something brilliant or Amazon sell it on to free to air or other mass pay TV platforms (which doesn't seem to be Amazon's business model at all).

A bit stunned when i heard this too but i couldn't imagine Chris Evans in the driving seat(excuse the pun) either.

As said most likely to drive(excuse the pun again) the international audience to pick up on it.

I don't know,2 shows are better than 1 in the end,i will most likely watch them both.

A bit like 5th gear too with good ole Tiff Needell, a few yawns but once the car action is there all can be forgiven

Thing is for the international audience to pick it back up they will have to keep to the same mad antics so it will be a bit sad or the international media will just keep running the old series

If it ends up like friends, i'll visit the BBC and punch the Director myself.

"oh my god, oh my god, oh my god" followed by unfunny predictable punchline... drokk knows why people ever found Friends funny, it was drokking awful.

At which point you realise their small print said that in order to cancel the free subscription, you had to notify them by letter, the month before you started and there is a minimum 12 month notice period...

Couldn't agree more, but so many people get pissy when you mention it.
