Pretty sure he is a private seller and he said works for a cable company or something, have run some check on his name no trace of trade seller, the car was his wife's he said use for short school runs.

That's what I thought about the coolant and the water was brown which mean he prob put rad weld in it

But other than that just bend over and accept the rape and yes KY is a substitute for Coolant. It cools and sooths

Core plugs don't rust out that quickly without antifreeze in the coolant. They take a good while.

There's a surprisingly large amount of

out there that run cars without antifreeze in them. They just keep topping up with pure water and the concentration gradually drops down to nothing...

dont turn up at his house mod handed - its bad form

you should turn up on your own nice and calm and reason with him - be prepared to compromise so have a clear idea of what youd ideally like to get from meeting with him-take copies of any recepits for parts.
be nice youve got to assume its just one of these things that happens but its fair to expect him to hand some cash back.
whatever you do do not threaten anyone in their own house - its just not acceptable no matter how pissed off you are.
