Nothing too flash in mine but as you can see I have OCD when it comes to seeing cables. Can't stand em :)

42" Panasonic Plasma
Sky HD
PS3
Wii

The PS3 and Sky HD are hooked up via HDMI Amps to HDMI cables running up to the 26" LCD in the bedroom and the 17" in the kitchen so PS3 is playable anywhere as the bluetooth signal for the controllers works around the house.

PS3 has been modded with 1TB drive and all my DVD's were converted and are on it (700+) so they can be watched anywhere as well. That took a day or two

Had to cut lots of holes in walls to get this lot working!

wow that's a proper neat install - mines the opposite!!

anyway, i've got a philips PFL 9664H in 47" (ambilight FTW!), PS3 slim and Pioneer DV-610AV going through a Denon AVR-2807 (with a little cambridge audio i-pod dock) all powered from a Belkin PF-40. Speakers are Tannoy F4 Custom fronts, F1 Custom rears, Epos M8 centre and Epos ELS sub. All controlled by a Logitech Harmony 555 remote control :)

TV unit is made-made to my specs to fit in the little space next to the fireplace and fits everything in nicely!

Added the Dual deck today. Had to take it apart to get it work (one of the metal levers underneath had moved) but it has been sat in 'rent's loft for what must be 10 years and it was originally bought, i think, in 1982

Oh my it was sexual experience lowering the needle onto some old vinyl!

Whilst CDs are easier etc, there is something erotic about those old black discs and playing them on a deck.

All pretty much done now, with what i can running through the Pioneer surround sound system (powering the "rear" speakers and the NAD amp powering the KEF speakers. Even have a headphone jack for playing MP3 from my iPhone, awesome really when this was made nearly 30 years ago, yet i can plug the iphone into it!

Finally, near on 300 audio cassettes up on the beams 8-)

There is some stuff there i forgot i had. From good to bad, but mainly drokking awesome!

WOW,.

AMAZING setups here. I remember my first amp from Richer Sounds over 15 years ago was a NAD. No gimmicks - just a green switch and a couple of controls. Not even sure it had an LED status light.

Oh well, Here is a bad pic of my set up.

Image

Speakers - Eltax Floor Standers.
Amp: Onkyo 509 with DNLA, Android Amp, iPod connectivity and a raft of other connections.
Wii: Connected to the AV receiver
NES: Connected to the AV Receiver (Yes, it still works and I have Duck Hunt, Double Dragon, AirWolf and a couple of other games).
DVD: Onkyo DVD Player
TV: I have a Sumsung 42 inch TV that has a capacitor problem, so using the smalled LG for now until is fixed.
Sub: Panasonic active sub.
Rears: Panasonic small rear speakers but soon to be replaced with a pair of book shelves.

That's it for me. I do have a question though, what's the best way of storing all my DVDs and music on the network without having a computer running. I have a flat and 9 month old baby, so space is a premium.

No pics cause my living room's a state, but:

Amp: Nakamichi AV-10
CD player: Alpha 7se
Fronts: Mission 773e
Rears: Eltax HT-2 Bi-Polar
Centre: Eltax (something I forget - and I'm always considering changing this one, only part of the setup I'm not properly convinced by)
Sub: Paradigm PDR-10
QED Silver anniversary cabling.

(No nasty MP3's in sight...)

Shiny, that's seriously nice gear to be living in a garage!!!
I remember some lovely KEF speakers from the 90's, about that size too (Coda 7).

Here's mine, nothing special...

This is my everyday setup:

Image
  • 40" Sharp Aquos LED backlit LCD TV
    TiVo (hidden in the cupboard)
    PS3 (also in the cupboard)
Phillips infrared extender (allows me to control TiVo)
All of this connects to my home cinema setup for when I want to watch movies/TV or play games on the big screen:

Image
  • Sharp Projector
    Infocus 76" 16:9 pull-down screen
Edirol MA-15D Speakers (hidden away behind sofa for temporary use)
Music gets played through the laptop or one of the PCs upstairs (hooked up to the Edirols) as we don't actually own a proper sound system (yet). I will buy a decent surround sound system some day but our entire CD collection lives in the loft at the moment and we're trying to sell the house.

I had big plans for multi-room AV but now we're moving I'll save that for the new house.
