Post by si import » Wed Jun 07, 2017 8:40 pm

Hi guys . After some info.
Does anyone no if the parcel shelf section can be removed without causing any issues. It's looks to me like it maybe structural to the shell but I could be wrong. It's this section in the picture

in my opinon i would have to say no as it seems to brace between the rear side windows and rear window may even offer some side impact protection , depends if your planning on complete removal and putting some bracing back in but less of it
success is the ability to go from one failure to the next without any loss of enthusiasm :D :D

From my experience of popping two rear windows in a 4th gen from driving up my parent's bullnose drive at a jaunty angle in the midst of a freezing winter, suggesting the chassis twisted, I'd suggest the chassis needs all the help it can get.

I considered removing mine, but I'd replace it with something else more appealing.

Even with a Tramroad brace I'd say the additional bracing is required.

Structural.

You will get awful scuttle shake/chassis twist without it there, I reckon.
