Lude-related trader updates from JAE

Post by wurlycorner » Mon Sep 16, 2013 12:18 pm

Couple of things I heard from Traders at JAE that thought some might be interested in...

A nice guy from Meister-R (I forget his name  ) came over to chat to us on the stand to say he was looking to offer a club discount and wondering how he goes about doing that. Gayno and I told him he can just register and post up in the traders section. Hope that's right? Anyway, we should hear from him sometime soon. It was to be a permanent discount code rather than a short term promo one.

Also, I got chatting to the guys at Heavy Set about silicone hose sets for Ludes. They said they currently do an ATR set and were having a 5th gen silicone hose mould made up literally at the moment, expected it to be ready in about 3 weeks time and it would do ALL the formed hoses, unlike the Samco set which is the 2 main cooling hoses only. He reckoned the price would be around £69 but not to hold him to that.

EDIT: Trade was generally better this year than previous years. Some decent traders new to the show (e.g. Funky Power were another newbie on top of Heavy Set).
Tegiwa had a big stand as usual with several cars, but pretty much no bloody parts to sell... Pointless! :tosser:
BC and K-Sport were there peddling their nice wares, I tried to avoid those 2 stands but Lisa spotted a set of k-sport calipers on another car at the show and now wants a set on her lude!

The samurai sword stand was, err... Interesting :?

Good memory Nafe - knew I'd seen them somewhere off the forum but couldn't think where.

Anyway, we'll have to keep our eyes peeled...

Why didn't I ask the guy about group buy?

Heavy set need to sort 2 issues out before they sell on here.

The fact power steering hoses react to power steering fluid

There is no NRV in the brake booster line from the intake to the booster.

Other than that it would be epic!

Also as a thought, can we as a forum perhaps pursue club discount from companies?

:? Really? That's strange! @Shiny, any issues to report with yours?
There is no NRV in the brake booster line from the intake to the booster.
Is it reasonable to expect that to be included in the hose set? Is it not just something that stays on the car and the hoses plug onto?
(nb: I have no idea what the NRV on that line looks like on a lude 'cause I've never noticed, that comment's made purely based on experience with other cars so feel free to facepalm me up if I've made a complete arse of myself there  )

UPDATE:
Prelude H22 hose set is now coming up on their facebook page (publicly visible thankfully 'cause I don't 'do' facebook) but it's not listed in their ebay shop yet.
I've messaged them asking when it will be added, what the pricing info is and asked about a group buy discount... :hurr:

Ok, this is taking a while, but... I have an update on the lude hoses!

They have the moulds done, but haven't made a set of hoses for stock yet. They've asked me what colour I want so they make up a set in that colour (pink  for Lisa's )

I'll update again once they're done for prices etc. and group buy...
