Well the short shift i am pretty set on trying, and i got an adaptor on its way that only cost me £8, so cant really grumble if it sucks! i had a 6g celica a few cars ago, and the shifting feel on that was the best i have ever experienced. every car since has been a let down, including the lude, although its a little closer. dont know if a short shift will help at all but will see!
The extender was just a styling idea really. which is why i was hoping someone might offer one posted for a fiver or something! lol.

And i should hope not wurly.

Although its worth a shot.......

I bought the extender for cosmetic purposes to be honest

It does make the throw longer but it doesn't really matter that much does it?

I reckon it focuses the mind when on a fast run and feels race car-ish in an old school way, cool in other words

I saw a vid of an NSX on track with one fitted and this is what inspired me. JDM YO

it doesnt matter that it lenghens the throw seeing as it would take all of 10 seconds to remove if you decided you needed shorter throw all of a sudden!

short shifter + gear stick extender + nice heavy knob = a feeling of tossing of an angel!

honestly i wouldnt consider it if you havent got a short shifter as the throw will be massive, even with my short shifter on the shortest setting the throw is still fairly large to the point i will be shortening the throw further ;)

if you have a short shifter is is good, it maybe milli second but the reduced transit time of your hand to the steering from the knob and vice versa does make a difference, especially if you haven't got power steering and need to prepare to tip into a corner ;)

Short shifter + gear stick extender also = a greater chance of mis-shifting though.

I suppose once you've got used to having to throw it further to the left or right of centre :)
