is there alot of weight to be saved by using perspex windows . its something i will be doing but not just yet i think. cheers

I can weigh my fronts (with sliders) for you, but won't have a glass window to compare it too.

Is this any particular type of perspex? As in a certain BSEN standard for track use or however you want to word what I'm getting at :lol:

If you can work out the area 4mm glass is 25kg m^2.

well they say they are half the weight of the glass the rear quarters must be very light because they weigh very little

What's the score with windscreens?

Not sure what thickness they are (would guess at 6.4mm), but at work the laminate we use comes in 4.4, 6.4, 8.8, 12.8 and then there's ridiculous thicknesses like 30mm that make my arse turn inside out. Either way lots of weight to save on a windscreen.

In my experience perspex seems much much less than half the weight.
