Wheel Nut Taper to Ball Seat Adaptors

Post by G-lude » Tue Jun 09, 2015 12:54 pm

I'm currently running Ep3 alloys and need a set of these wheel nut adaptor washers to fit some aftermarket wheel nuts.

I know Tegiwa sell these but £24 seems fairly expensive for washers! I'll probably give in and order them anyway but was worth an ask!

I've just had a quick look for you bud, but nothing other than Te"gay"wa came up in the UK. More options from the States as usual.

My only concern with them would be that they reduce the amount of thread engagement. The Tegiwa ones look particularly bad. You'll loose about 4 threads...

As well as the amount of thread used, you also introduce an extra friction surface and change the friction angle. That means you would need a different tightening torque.
