Although it's quick and easy to see replys to posts just by opening the email notification now (It used to be the same with LB), I wondered whether it's such a good idea. Being able to read a reply via email means your less likely to log on to the forum, which in turn means your more likely not to see other threads and less likely to reply when you otherwise would have because you were already there.
My main concern now though is that you can have a sneaky read of PM's without the sender realising (No Outbox --> Sent). I've not had any trouble myself recently, but in the past when members have had issues with buying/selling parts, it's generally been the only thing that's kept up communications. (Having read a PM and knowing the sender now knows you've read it you feel obliged to reply.) But now, if you read the email first and it's not good news, you could simply lay low
Thoughts...
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

I think that's a valid point.
Who owes you parts/money then Nath?

I like the new feature. I was the one that asked for it.
Like I said when I asked for it, I travel a lot and get a lot of private messages. Having to log in just to see that the PM sent to you is a waste of time is a PITA. When you log in to LG it resets the "New Posts" count so I miss a load of forum post when I log back in. It was getting to the point where I was going to switch off personalised email notification (you can do that in your LG "My Profile").
IMO the benefit of the way it is now (to me anyway) out weighs the potential laziness/failure to respond to PM's.

Had a look, but it very much seems an all or nothing modification - we either have it or we don't
