I had to fill up the tank before my drive, so after fitting the new filter tonight I put in some of that injector cleaner before filling up, thinking it could be blocked. I guess tim will tell with that, but surely I'd have the same issue on cold startup?...

Are you sure this isn't meant to have an o2 sensor? If its fuel injected I would have thought so

I've been going by Lings and the only valid sensors etc I can see are the thermo sensor (replaced), the water temp sensor (replaced), the IACV (replaced), then the FITV and maybe the EGR (???).

Here's what I've been looking at...

Engine

Inlet manifold

Throttle Body

But feel free to check the rest ;-) ...

Congrats on the MOT pass bud. Still some little niggles to iron out but she's roadworthy at least. This is gonna be a nice little project. 8)

The fact it changes under load suggests air flow related to me.
