 No worries Adam :)

Is there any other mods required to get it to run other than any machining and using K20 rods? Just H22 pistons?

Are the main journals much bigger than 50mm for the K24? Is there any issues with crank position sensors, crank pulleys or anything?
Not £100, but cheap enough :) Why do you ask, do you know of one for £100?

It'll be easier if I just let Shawn explain it to you ;-) ...

So yeah, I'll need to source an A7 or A8 block for the 55mm journals.

It sounds exiting though. Good luck!

The crank needs an amount of machine work and conversion pieces and you need to run K20 rods, but yes, 99.0mm stroke compared to 90.7mm ;-) Will take it to a 2354cc with 13.33:1 with my Mahles 8)

Owwwwww.......2.4ltr VTEC. The torque will be immense along with the wide rev range.

Your not giving me ideas to go with my supercharger. Nope. Definately not.

More Bits Including K-Sport Treats

Post by NafemanNathan » Sun Aug 17, 2014 10:07 pm

A few more goodies collected. A few boring, so I'll save the best for last ;)

I picked up a few brand new bits from a guy splitting his H22 Civic project that never amounted to anything.

Magnecor KV85 Leads...

Image

Image

ACL Crank Bearings... Although suited to a 50mm crank, so now the mains are rendered redundant with the K24 crank...

Image

And after what happened with my silver lude... A fresh new Oil Pump ;-) ...

Image

Image

And then just yesterday I finally took the 4 hour round trip to meet the smashing fella that is @ludey and picked up several boxes containing this lot 8) ...

Image

8 pot fronts 8) ...

Image

Image

Image

6 pot rears 8) ...

Image

Image

Image

330mm discs front and back 8) ...

Image

Image

Just for a size comparison this plate is coincidentally the same diameter as standard 282mm front discs...

Image

And they're rather substantial as well...

Image

I'll just need to get them re-drilled for 5 bolt, which is no biggy.

Then they came with braided hoses, Sport spec pads and obviously fitting kit...

Image

Image

;-) Cheer Stephen. Great to meet you :) I've been thinking more about that crank of yours since I left  If I can't get just K24 crank conversion parts I might be back in touch

With the rears not having a mechanical cable-operated function, the calipers alone would be an MOT fail, so I've had these in my watch list for the past 6 months...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120648445366? ... 1423.l2649

As they stand they're not wide enough to cope with the disc, but as they're only 1 pots and the calipers are 2 piece I'll be able to split them and fit a spacer. Then I'll obviously have to make up a bracket to fit them.
