Find someone who can do you a good valve job on the head. 3 way, 5 way or radius, radius is better

You might want to think about oil cooling as well.
Drax wrote:so im on the lookout for Evo 440 ones or something else that may suit.
They used Toyota Eclipse 450cc injectors on my engine.
i have a feeling a valve job has already been done on the head but i need to double check, new ATR valvle springs & retainers were put in before it was sold to me as well as the p&p but i need to put in the skunk2 ones instead anyway.
Oil cooling - check! that pretty essentail to a build like this, or an added bonus?
Toyota Eclipse 450cc injectors - righty ho, ill keep a lookout, they just splice into the wiring or do i need pigtail set for them?

Some handy tools and space there to

I'd say whilst it's all stripped down to definitely inspect and probably replace all the seals whilst you're there

the tools were part of the engine buy

very lucky find! seal replacement for definate then, check!

So is that a Type-S engine Drax, or just Type-S pistons and rods in an a5 or something?
type s block, but ive just been told that could be a problem
Yes, I hadn't realised you meant an actually Type-S block. It was Newkid that noticed and thought it should be mentioned
It'd be the blanking off of the ATTS unit that'd be the problem. I've not seen one properly to know what it would require. Might be best, easiest and cheapest to get a donor bare standard block and transferring everything across. You could take the opportunity to clean, re-lube and re-seal everything as you go. Might make things easier. Then sell the bare Type-S block and get more than you money back for the standard bare block

yeh i thought about it last night after gary mentioned it and then i remembered ATTS.... DOH!! well, block selling time as i still have your ATR A&B pistons spare in case i got a differant block, will have to keep an eye out for someone selling a standard or ATR block instead, ah well
Merlin wrote:Where one the pics does it show/indicate that it is a Type-S block? I cant see it.
it was sold as a type s block - engine code shows H22 plus it came with the type s head & cams - any way of defo telling on the block? or maybe marking on the cams too?
it's something i was looking at here when buying the block
