Post by newkid » Wed Mar 02, 2016 6:00 pm

Couple more bits arrived

Basically got a really good deal off the seller on ebay so went with it, also big thanks to @M@dds for the cams.

Starting to look like it might be an engine/box out job coming up.

List to be fitted once gearbox built

M2F5 with mfactory goodness
Kaiten lightweight flywheel
OEM accord type-r clutch
Greddy belts with manual tensioner conversion
Type-s cams
Various seals
Oil/oil flter/sparkplugs/airfilter change
Driveshafts to be inspected and bits changed if needed

Might also just go for it and get the ralco rz lightweight pulleys.

Be most I've ever took on but hopefully see the benefits off it all put together and means I in theory shouldnt need to worry about engine/box for a while other than servicing

Interesting! Is that a coating on the face of it? Do you think that will get worn off like the coating on some brake discs?

its more like a plated finish rather than just a coating that wipes off - no doubt it will wear off on the friction surface over time but should remain on the rest of the wheel. Might make finding the timing marks a bit more difficult but they are on there
