Re: Vtecmec's 4th Gen
Can't believe I've not done it sooner.wurlycorner wrote:I can't believe you are doing that on your wife's favourite Duvet
On the left are the innards of a 2.0 box (M2J4) and on the right is the ATR box, I'm swapping the 5th gear cogs over so I can still cruise at a respectable RPM.DaveyBa8 wrote:what's the story with the box?
Looking inside the ATR box, the 5th gear syncro is fubared, as is the reverse gear cog, I think this is common so I'll be sorting those bits out too.
Need to research on the cause and a remedy for the issue before rebuilding.
I'm just catching up, and I see you've fixed a couple of things that are troubling me with mine.
First the uk cruise control module, that's something I've been trying to do for a couple of years, but every module I try makes no difference. Do you have the part number of the correct one handy?
And that steering shake, mines doing that. I'm suspecting the near side shaft too, but that steering rack adjustment looks interesting - it's in the manual? Was it easy to do or a pig?
Glad you got your mirrors auto folding too - was my guide useful? I put my module in the passenger door where the mirror controls are, much less wiring required then.
I'm also interested that you bought a seal kit for the air con - mine has a leak, I don't really know what do do about it.
Great work mate!
