Definitely. If I can get Sam to blast them that'll be half the pain staking work done, but there are still a fair few seized bolts in some of it that Hondaboy couldn't remove, so had to cut them off. So I'm going to have to do a fair amount of drilling before anything else :?

Still... It'll be worth it ;-)

EDIT: Hey hey! Look at my post count! :D

Is this going to distract you from the other car? If so hopefully not for long.

Hopefully not too long. I'm still in the process of refurbing the head of the other one. I'm waiting on some replacement SuperTech valve seals as I didn't know what was fitted and after some prompting from Wurly thought best be safer than sorry. Once the valves are in I'll mask it up for a lick of paint and then rebuild the rest which will only take an evening. Then it'll be more house stuff anyway, so all in all it's not the 3rd gen detracting from the project build as I've not got the setup to continue any further than the cylinder head at the minute anyway.

So Monday the car cruised through it's MOT, with only one advisory... The child seat in the back meant he couldn't check the seatbelt :)

And then just this morning...

Well the news is pretty official, the cheque should be in the post within the next 5 days and the car taken away from me shortly after

Absolutely gutted, but she's considered a CAT B write-off due to the damage caused to the OSR suspension area.

Typical! The elusive rubber dash mat finally comes up, just as I'm selling my 3G..

Real shame to see it go mate. It was a beautiful car. :(

Still, onwards & upwards I guess. :)

Are you allowed to say how much they gave you for it?

 Really? :? Doesn't look from the external photo's like it should have caused that much damage???

Is it worth offering to swapping any rust-free panels from yours, onto another LG'ers 3rd gen before yours is taken away?
