Robs 2g BA1 prelude

Post by Rob_Cool1 » Wed Jan 08, 2014 4:30 pm

I guess its time to make a thread for the 2g

This was the first pic i got of her when i stopped to fill her up on the way back from buying it

Image

loved it until i did an oil change and it started leaking, took almost 3 weeks until it was sorted and i got her back. il take a pic of the sump that i bought, there giving me my money back and don't want it returned, just shows how bad it was!

anyway, my neighbour sorted mine pretty good job too! the sump gasket i bought from ebay didn't fit so Honda managed to get one in in time so that's good and all sorted!
Image

so today i gave her a proper good clean, got the polish out and my polisher thing from Halfords and for a first attempt I'm pleased haha, took me over 2 hours too!

(gota have some minions )

Also today i changed the air filter, bloody thing cost me £22 but i think it was well worth it :P

Image

I still getting the problem of it cutting out when i pull up but it only seems to happen when the speedo stops working (another issue lol) so I'm going to have to take a look into to that.

When it's light il take some pics of the interior too, still looking mint 8-)
I'm need to get some better speakers for the door's, not sure what size they are though. The sound quality just isnt good enough for the sub :L when its loud they start to crackle and sound really bad, that or i need a smaller sub ;)

Image

But yeah here's the start of hopefully many enjoyable years with the lude. Even with all its problems i still love it :D best car I've had and driven by far!

Glad to hear you're still loving it, despite the problems.
It's a very cool looking car, that's for sure.

Those photos make me want to wrap the bottom of my second gen, it looks so cool 8-) saying that, with the amount of welding mine has already had it's halfway there already

Glad you're still enjoying the car though mate :) that's the most important thing!

Yep, fair play for persevering Rob. You're very close to having a really great motor there. 8-)

Looks lovely after the polish as well mate. Good job! :)

Keep up the good work, & look forward to seeing it at the upcoming meets. :P

Well done mate. Again I take my hat off to you for persevering. It's always been a great looking car, but now it also has an honest owner who knows how to care and look after a car ;)
