RobMorris 1989 3Gen Prelude.
RobMorris 1989 3Gen Prelude.
I popped to 'Pick a Part' in Kent yesterday morning which is not huge but has a good variety and cheap prices.
I walked around to see what splitter could fit my bumper.
I then come across a very nice condition Volvo 940!
Anyway a pic of the bumper without the splitter.
And with the splitter just sitting on. It fits about 99% perfect!!
I picked up a decent length of power cable also and total bill was £5!

I have finally got around to painting the front bumper (Matt Black MTN94 Graffiti rattle can) and there was some unfix-able damage. I always wanted legit(ish) drift stitches!
And my friends say I love dildos

Re: RobMorris 1989 3Gen Prelude.
I put her in for MOT this morning and she failed on a few things.
Front brakes need bleeding (which I knew about)
Couple of bulbs need replacing (I thought I checked all)
The worst of it was she failed on emissions - the tester said its most likely a vacuum leak?
Can anyone point me in the right direction of the vacuum system - what pipes should I replace and what size/type pipes I need to buy?
Cheers

Why on earth hadn't you bled the brakes if you knew they needed doing?!
Regarding the potential vacuum leak, there's no correct pipes to replace, you're just going to have to track it down. Spray carb clearer around the inlet manifold and all vacuum pipes whilst the engine's running and see if the carb cleaner makes a difference to the idle speed. If it does focus on the area you've sprayed in to track down a leak.
Although your high emissions might not be as simple as that it is a place to start.
