What markings come on that model? (Stock)

I have seen the "s-spec" stickers for the rear, but what about the grille emblem? It's not exactly a type-s, and it doesn't have ATTS, so what does it say on the front grille? "Prelude"?

What colour "H" emblems does that model come with?
Markings? SIR S-Spec
The grill was optional on ALL Preludes. Its just the Type S has a choice of 3. This SIR may have the normal grill as the S-SPec was an option.

There are only 2 colours Honda did. Gold or Silver. Gold usually found on Black cars.
:) Ahh see, this is why I signed up here—to learn about all the different models, from people who have them/can get them. The water on my side of the pond is very muddy when it comes to specialty models.

This is what I have seen so far:

- Type-S: mesh style grille (like yours/USDM 99-01 grille) with a Type-S or ATTS badge. Grille in either black or gun metal.

- SiR S-Spec: (if pics are reliable) Black horizontal louver style (similar to USDM 97-98 grille) with no badge.

I haven't seen seen S-spec with the mesh type grille (yet) so I always wondered what (if any badge) it would have if they actually had that grille. I'm assuming despite the numerous options on JDM/EDM models, an SiR S-Spec wouldn't wear a "Type-S" grille badge up front, with an "S-Spec" sticker on the rear.

I have seen a few pictures of Type-S's and such with red H's like yours, so that's why I asked about those, thinking perhaps it was the same sort of set up as the ITR.

OP: Sorry to jack your thread with these questions! :) Show me your grille!
1997 Prelude Base (wrecked)
1996 Prelude SR (sold)
1994 Subaru SVX LSi (Sold)

1999 Prelude Base (S-Spec build in progress)
1990 Nissan 300ZX (weee!)
2011 Ford CVPI (daily)
1957 Cadillac Coupe de Ville

So after a long time of not knowing what to do with the car and leaving gather dust in my mates garage for nearly a year i got the finger out and sorted it instead of selling it for buttons to someone to butcher for parts..

List of bits i got sorted are..
New front discs and pads and pads on the back..
All new front wheel studs on both sides.
New tein coilovers had teins in but top mounts where rotten and locking collars wouldn't budge...
New flexi welded into the manifold.
Original spot lights with yellow film.
Mint ep3 steering wheel.
Brand new jvc double din fitted.
Platinum plugs hamp filter and millers oil done and gear oil done.
17 inch dare bbs reps.
FINALLY got the back bumper and spoiler sprayed.
Carbon effect gear surround.
Jap metal pressed plates.
AND a bloody good wash and wax haha.
Here is how shes looking now anyway..

Very nice.
I do like a white 5th gen. Think I preferred the original rims though, but each to their own.

Have to say I think the 5th gen really is ageing well.
That looks great. :)
