Giblet's 1995 BB1 Auto

1995 BB1 Si Vtec Auto Prelude in Granada Black. Won this on eBay 30 mins after my Galant VR4 was collected by its new owner. Was on the hunt for something slightly sensible to get me through winter, and needed something that drank less fuel than a VR4 as that was getting around 20mpg on V-Power.

The car is pretty much stock aside from the big sod off Japspeed cat back exhaust and some aftermarket drilled and grooved brake discs. I'm liking the leather seats, pretty darn comfy. Plan is to tidy it up, swap the exhaust for the stock one and look into getting the arches sorted. They don't seem too bad compared to other ones I have seen.

Apart from the arches the bodywork is in average condition with a few key marks. They don't seem too deep so will hopefully be able to polish them out. The rear strip at the bottom of the windscreen could do with replacing too. Wheels are corroded so will look at either refurbing them or replacing them with something aftermarket.

The car came with a big stack of history including a fair few main dealer service receipts. Might end up servicing it myself though given how much Honda seem to charge. Once I have the car up to spec I will start looking into a few mods. I have a folder full of 4G pics so plenty of time to go through them and work out what mods I want to copy.

Welcome.
That interior looks in lovely nick and manages to avoid the 'cheap' look that some Prelude leather interiors somehow manage (I have no idea why).

Those arches don't look too bad, no. The passenger side one's strange though, the way it's gone all the way round - unusual that.

Just to warn you, you might get a fright if you remove the sill covers though...
All completely repairable though, either by custom fab or buying pukka panels off here.

Nice little project there bud :) Yeah the rear can definitely looks out of place

With regards to the trim at the base of the rear window, you can actually sort of refurbish them. Jus remove the remaining plastic coating, sand back the corrosion, treat and prime and paint. Finding second hand ones in great nick are hard to come buy and I think they're about 70 odd quid from Honda :?
