Is it meant to be telescopically adjustable, or is it a crash collapsing column?

Honestly couldn't say as I've found absolutely no information about it

It definitely doesn't need to adjust as much as it does, but it collapses much easier than it extends.

My money's on it being a collapsable column and the previous muppet managed to collapse while hammering their new steering boss on!

No I tried my two 4th gen bosses and their spline is too small to even attempt getting them started.

I think it's just a case the boss was a bit naff. On the column after the spline it tapers out, where as I'm not sure the boss did, at least not enough, hence it cracking like it did.
