2nd Gen Armrest

Post by B00mer » Mon Jan 26, 2015 9:48 pm

I have an armrest coming for the Lude, just wondered if anyone has any experience with how they are secured into the car?

It hasn't landed yet so i was trying to preempt the need for any bits.

Cheers guys,

B00m ;)

wow i saw one in america for sale, i personally have no idea. It'll probably be best going and join a 2g facebook page, most of them are from america and will probably know.

Second Gen Prelude Owners Worldwide is probably the more popular one, link below :)

and also 2G Prelude & 3G Accord

Sorry i couldn't help but hopefully someone can on there :)

If it's like the optional one in a third gen Accord, It may just screw on to the rear of the rear centre console.

Sorry I meant the 2g one, 3g may be similar but it's not something I'm sure of at all.

I'd try America, there's a lot of cool 3rd gen Accord parts lurking over there so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same for older Preludes.

Mmm, my bro. ordered a spare downpipe for one of my Honda's a couple of weeks ago, still not here. Any idea what the normal means of despatching items across the pond are? Air freight or container? For small items, obviously.

I posted a link up recently to a mint 2g in Germany (think I posted it in the 'look what I found section'). He bought and fitted a centre arm rest, have a look at the pics and that might help?

Just checked that thread, yeah it looks like it just screws into the sides of the rear centre console. Word of warning, some US Accord owners have found that this method of mounting can be a bit weak if you go by the feed back on 3geez. I'd hazard that the 2g armrest could be similar.

I'd still love to have one though
