Full exhaust change - Fujitsubo/custom

Post by newkid » Wed Jan 17, 2018 11:28 pm

So this happened.

Image

Exhaust removed and it’s replacement is fitted.

Fujitsubo mani and apexi panel filter

Image

Fujitsubo downpipe. Check the space no clearance issues here.

Image

Downpipe at sump, definitely seems to sit better than on a Lude, not sure if that’s due to the downpipe being edited for the cl1 or due to a different sump setup?

Image

Magnaflow 2.5” 200 cel cat, fitted to make mot times easier.

Image

Straight through 2.5” system running to twin back boxes with double skinned 3.5” tips as thought 4” would look to big.

Image

I do have to admit I’m not sure I like how the exhaust splits into two as it can clearly be seen from behind, this is due to the rear setup of the car (arb etc). The standard pipes are small compared to the 2.5”. I’ll get a better pic of the setup.

Image

Now for comparison this is the mugen setup, so again it’s visible.

Ah yes, I see what you mean about the split. I had the same thought as Nafe (try to disguise the cross pipe)
Otherwise looks like a nice setup, on a nice car 8-)
Really need to get this one rust proofed inside, so that it lasts the UK climate...

Fuji exhaust manifold always look lovely with the H22A engines, so big and beefy. How much was the sports cell/cat? Will that pass MOT and how much interms of performance do you get rather then just going de-cat?

Sounds really good. Didn’t want anything to loud which was main reason for sticking with twin boxes.

Don’t worry. Come the better weather it’s on the list. Skirts, bumpers etc be coming off.

There under £100 bud. Yes meant to be mot friendly with it being 200 cell. Performance gains are probably minimum but does flow better than a standard cat plus being 2.5” it won’t be a bottleneck on the system.
