Bruce's D22 Minitruck Project
Bruce's D22 Minitruck Project
Ok, so this isn't technically mine, it's the other half's - but he's not a big internet person so I thought I'd do this for him
Anyone who knows much about these knows that the 4wd versions (which has a wider track width than rwd only and bigger arch flares) are a lot harder to drop.
Nissan Navara D22 double cab.
TD25 4WD
Purchased June 25th 2014
Current changes:
- Rear axle flip giving a 5inch rear drop
- 6 inch drop up front
- 16x10 et-32 (yes MINUS) steels, with 225/44/r16
- Double din head unit
- Snap off boss
- Nardi
- BMX stunt peg gear levers wrapped in handlebar grip
- Race net (tailgate and roof removed)
- Front diff removed
When we went to pick it up.
After dropping the front
Wheel test fit, and fit + rear dropped

Nardi I got him for christmas and boss and gear levers fitted. Seats will be changed eventually too.
Race net fitted, and Cali plate off his Jeep just to see what it'd look like and yes, I am already storing a set of wheels in the bed haha!
Next plans are to get a whole new buck/bed as the arches were rotten under the flares. And sort out the front bumper, plus paint etc.

Surprised me how good it looks lowered.
Not a fan at all of the small wheels though. just not my kind of look at all. It looked good with the massive original wheels in the first pic when it was lowered, IMO.
No front diff = permanent rwd now? That'll be fun in the wet - I've had the back end of one of these step out on me before when I'd put it in 2wd mode

Sorry... The little wheels is possibly my influence I have an obsession with under-wheeling things!

Re: Bruce's D22 Minitruck Project
Little update... So, after mad rushing getting it prepped the truck was painted this weekend...
Yep. It's PURPLE
The guy who painted it is a local graffiti artist (Duloe Rd, St Neots skatepark etc) who goes by the name of Kak (@kakerholic on instagram) and it was pretty amazing watching him work as he did it all freehand!
It's since been lacquered but I don't yet have any photos as I'm ill but the lacquer was a matte finish so it hasn't taken the finish away from the graffiti paint.
