Re: Merlin's Time Attack Lude - 3rd Gear Synchro? It's Dead

Post by Merlin » Mon Dec 01, 2014 1:14 pm

My car hasnt been touched since I broke my gearbox. I think it will be January before it can be hauled apart and the gearbox sent off to PAW. I'll have about 2 months to get the car ready for SLS 2015.

But! MiesterR have been getting the bits together to make my coilovers. I am going for the MiesterR GT1's  I had to supply some info so they are properly spec'd for my car, below is suspension arm measurements of the 4th gen:

Quite the improvements over the Zeta-S's. Do they not need to know the distance between the top mounts, and heights between anchor points as well? Or do they already have all that info?

I don't know, I have only supplied what the have asked for so far. Yeah the GT1's are meant to be the jobby, so much so that they guy from MeisterR was warning me about them being used on the road

Just being rock hard in comparison to road based coilovers and the resulting twitchyness / unpredictability. I told him that the car is already a PITA on the road anyway and that I do very few road miles and that when I do I only pootle.

I thought you were going to say that. Strange then that they rate the "comfort" level that high for them :?

Yeah I don't know how it can both be hard and comfortable

Getting these means that I will want to get a proper corner weight session done. Last season my corner weights were all over the place. Getting these coilovers and not getting them setup properly would be a waste.
