Merlin wrote:Yeah me too. One thing I noticed is that these are not directional. They only need to have the two large grooves on the inside of the wheel, which means the half V tread will be pointing in different directions on each side of the car :?
That sounds a bit odd? :?

I'm interested to hear (fairly quickly :poke: ;) ) how you get on with these.
I have to change all 4 tyres on my UKDM (front due to tread, back due to 1 having a cut right down to the ply that the MOT tester was kind enough to mention to me, but let me off on the MOT).
Currently have Michelin's but I can't be affording those as a replacement on a car that does <5k /yr.

Going on the forum and what I fitted to the Xantia, I'm considering either Toyo's, Rainsports or Syron's atm.
:? I can't remember who it was that fitted the Syron's, but wondering how they're getting on?

I just spoke to Uniroyal UK and they tell me that is the way the tyres are meant to be and that it will make no difference to the performance of the tyre.

 What's your beef with the Toyo's?
I have them on the front of my Xantia and was pleased with them. Admittedly they wear pretty quickly, but tbh that's not a problem on a low mileage car - means the tread wears out about the same time they would start cracking up through age!

In truth I have never tried them. The T1R's don't get great reviews. But I suppose everyone differs in what they want out of their tyre.

I had T1Rs on my Prelude and I wouldn't buy them again tbh. Wear quickly and wet grip was horrendous.

So far the Rainsport 3's have been great. Loads of grip in this wet weather we are having. The other day when it was tipping it down I was driving through all the deep puddles I could find and the car didn't mind at all. In comparison with the RS2's there isn't much in it other than the RS3's make a little less road noise.

The car needs its front brakes done, it judders like a biatch, but I have been putting it off. I bought a set of Delphi discs and they are the only set of discs I have bought that come with a new set of disc screws 8-) Just as well as my current ones are pretty mashed up.

I keep forgetting which lude I serviced when  They never come due on mileage, only on time.
