Mother truckers!!!! Tough break man.
Last weekend I saw a woman reverse into another car she got out didnt notice me and drove off. But by this time I had her license plate and I went and informed the owner. Turns out the driver was a bloddy copper!!! But I feel I did my good deed :)

Some good news guys, I got my detective hat on and found the CCTV footage for my work place, you could see the guy clearly backing into and shunting my car forward about 6". I was able to follow him on the various cameras and found the business he visited, luckily the guys there recognised him and gave him my contact details. He did ring me in short time and I am now awaiting a call from his insurance companies recommended body shop to get the car booked in and sorted! Whilst its getting repaired ini'm gunna see what the cost is to get a few other little things done at the same time. I think it's been parked under a tree its whole life..

Also the original exhaust is now back on the car but with a high flow CAT and secondary lambda sensor. Thats hopefully two of the 3 dash lights that are currently illuminated sorted!! I actually feel like this week has gone right for a change!!!

Yea, thankfully they did though I got them to fit a high flow CAT and tidy up the join a bit. If they told me the truth to begin with it would have saved all this hassle in the first place! I asked them why they kept the original exhaust intact but they wouldnt tell me! Its all nice and quiet again now and it will pass the MOT..

I thought reading up on a fellow members civic awd build with allow of custom work was epic ( now gone to a mid engine awd)
But seeing this build, and the effort you've gone through has put it into my interesting builds list lol

Epic

Glad to be able to read you tracked down the culprit so soon after seeing the damage.

And that's great news about the exhaust swap. Sounds like they were expecting you ;-)

Few little updates:

Replacing my K100 ECU with the K-Pro v3, these are K-series engine specific boards and the k-pro is fully programmable with a laptop, your not locked into using specific tuners like you are with the K100, I will now be able to adjust settings myself or get a much cheaper eTune! I am more worried about tuning for economy right now than for ultimate power. I need to get more than 26mpg...

The other pictures are of an Toyota MR2 electric power steering pump. It has the electric controller onboard and accepts a speed sensor input similar if not the same as the speed sensor output from the gearbox, this will allow the PS Pump to cycle up and down depending on speed, so full power when stopped and it senses the steering being moved, and low power at motorway speeds as its just not needed, if at all!
