Well, well, well!

They're like buses aren't they!

VERY nice pickup Dave. This is the same car I saw for sale years ago in an old copy of Jap Performance mag for none other than £12k! That was a while ago and it clearly didn't sell for that. It looked immaculate then. This was the only known JRSC lude in the UK until I imported my kit from the states. Then Pete found one on that lude from Europe (Now Ratty's) and Merc (I think) still has a kit knocking about. Like I said buses!

Loving the SC love!

Hi Rob, good to hear a bit of history on the car. £12k
You don't still have a copy of the mag do you?

It's not exactly immaculate at the moment but with a bit of love it wouldn't be far away.
Someone has spent a lot of money on it with the selection of parts fitted.

Are there any other fully running sc'd preludes in the uk? :P
I know yours is a much bigger build and rattys is still to be tuned.

I might still have a copy of the mag, I'll have a route through the pile of them I've kept.

At the moment, yes, yours is the only running one. Ratty will no doubt be second unless his engine blows up (or his head from the issues he's had!). Mine will be [insert date or humerous gag].

That would be awesome if you do.
I appreciate you looking anyway. :)

Some more pictures.

So it turns out the brake discs at least are made by DBA(Disc Brakes Australia).
Turns out they are pretty decent discs with a patented kangaroo paw cooling technology design in the veins on the vented discs. I have found that Uk prices are around £340 for the front 4000 series XS pair and £240 for the rear X Gold pair.

As you can see they were looking a bit sorry for themselves after being sitting barely used for over a year.
So instead of binning them I had them skimmed at £20 per disc.

Looking a lot better.

I thought that a coat of gold paint was fitting to restore them to their former glory a little. And some fresh black for the callipers and dust shields.

I must give thanks to Merlin for coming through and giving me a hand putting the brakes back together, replacing the front caliper that had a split dust shield and bleeding the brakes. Top guy, much appreciated. ;)
